Aspire LPP granted care home consent with HPC support

“The Client is seeking to develop a new care home for the elderly. Our assessment points towards the current Need for a further 152 beds in the Locality and 233 across the wider Borough. With the development pipeline across Tewkesbury being woefully inadequate, this proposal would assist the local authority in meeting their identified Housing Strategy objectives.”

Conclusion – HPC Care Home Need Assessment

HPC is delighted to announce that 2025 has started with planning permission being granted for a new 66-bed care home at Mill Farm, Mill Lane, Brockworth, Gloucester. This marks a significant milestone in delivering high-quality care facilities for the community, ensuring a supportive and comfortable environment for residents.

Currently comprising a farmhouse with outbuildings, the site falls within an area removed from the Green Belt for Urban Extension. It is now incorporated within the Strategic Allocation Site of North Brockworth - aiming to provide new homes, generate new employment and to promote healthcare and facilities to meet the needs of the new community.

The HPC Care Home Need Assessment instructed in support of the application was instrumental in achieving consent. The permission granted by Tewkesbury Borough Council includes the demolition of existing buildings and the construction of a state-of-the-art C2 Use care home, along with essential ancillary works.

Detailed planning consent was granted 19th February 2025.
